Now, That's what I'm talkin about! Ohio Alpaca Farm
Awarded 2006 Futurity Reserve Small Breeder of the Year
The AlpacaRosa is a family owned and operated 12 acre alpaca farm in Mogadore, Ohio. (less than 1 hour away from Cleveland Airport, only minutes away from Akron Canton Airport (CAK). We specialize in helping new folks get started in this profitable and rewarding industry and, infact, have even helped our new clients by selling 38 of our "customers" alpacas. You will find that we raise, show, and sell many different colors of alpacas on our farm. Our 50+ alpaca herd consists of both alpaca breeds, Huacaya (Wah-ki-uh) and Suri from Peruvian / Accoyo colored bloodlines. Huacayas fiber resembles a teddy bear, whereas the Suri fiber resemble long curly dreadlocks. We love ALL the gorgeous colors the alpaca genetics have to offer our Amazing alpaca industry.
Note that we manufacture a few tools, especially designed for our industry. -The Tooth-a-Matic -an incisor-tooth trimming tool -The Fight-O-Matic -a fighting-teeth trimming tool and -The PacaTrapper -a new conceptually designed alpaca chute (or llama chute) that restrains the head for 1-man toenail trimming, teeth trimming, ultrasounds, shearing, and many other herd health procedures, BUT , takes up NO floor space!.
For those of you considering Alpaca farming as a lifestyle change, to add fun and/or income for your family, make sure you read our "Starting an Alpaca Farm" web page. We are a full time, full service, and fully devoted alpaca farm willing to help new alpaca breeders every step of the way to achieving the same level of success we've worked hard (and had great fun!) building.

Our daughters welcome Fire N Ice to our family
The Alpaca industry offered a great business investment opportunity for us several years ago, when we decided we needed to think about a replacement career somewhere down the road.
We started out with just 5 alpacas in our backyard. We expanded the herd over the years on a part time basis and finally became full time alpaca breeders after 6 years. Many breeders have accomplished this same dream.
This business can be a very profitable investment for you and your family as it has been for most alpaca farmers since 1985. Farm incomes exceeding $150,000 annually are not uncommon in the alpaca industry. The keys to success in the alpaca business, like most other business, lay with the virtues of Passion and Patience. The rest is all very easily learned through our mentorship programs.
You do not need any prior knowledge of farming or animal husbandry. Infact, most alpaca breeders come from all different walks of life. Teachers, Accountants, Professors, Machinists, Airline Pilots, Business Managers, Executive Assistants, Project Engineers, and Veterinarians are examples of those who have went on to become very successful in the alpaca industry. Age is no barrier to this industry either, as there are 15 year olds building their herds and 80+ year olds gracefully caring for their fellow Earth mates.
