Do you feel you are spending Too much time
raking beans AND pulling out
more grass than beans?
I decided that this year I was going to tackle the task of keeping my pastures VERY clean to avoid any E-mac sporalation in the pasture creating parasite headaches for the late fall. After such an EASY winter climate we are ready to fend off alpaca parasite loads this year!. I have to say, this new tool makes keeping the pasture clean a SNAP!..... and I actually look foward to it!
The mini horse breeders are also gonna love this tool!
Ive always had the pasture vac system that we pulled behind the tractor, but is was simply an inefficient PAIN in the butt to use because I had to go hook up the tractor, get off the tractor, open gate, get back on tractor, move 30 feet, get back off tractor, shut the gate....etc........ sound familiar?.......I fixed all of that !!!!!!
NOTE: If you have steep hills and absolutely require pulling with a tractor, I'm offering a hitch kit so that you can pull behind your tractor. The BM hitch kit cost $150. Similar equipment pasture vacs sell for ($3,500-$4,500). Crazy High profits were the norm for pasture vacs in the past.... Not anymore fellow breeders!
Personally I gave up the pull behind tractor approach years ago, as it was just not efficient for me. With a yard cart vac system, I simply can do everything while pulling the easy to maneuver cart behind me with my one hand. I've been using this particular cart for over 20 years (infact, we grew to own 5 carts!) and my 22 year old cart has held up amazingly well for never being stored inside of a barn!. Rubbermaid did an excellent job of engineering this cart wth a design that is perfectly balanced and exactly the right height. I've been hauling 200 lbs of waste per day for several years. These carts move so easy, I often will push one 200lb load while simultaneously pulling another 200lb load behind me. We use the cart to load up 5 bales of hay to place in our hay feeders. Now THAT is balance!!! I also use this cart when I put down new limestone which tips the scales at nearly 300lbs and I still find it workable to manage.
