Fight O Matic Instructions

The Fight O Matic was developed by the same folks who developed the Tooth a Matic®.

Attach the Fight O Tip cutter to the Fight O Matic® oscillating tool. It doesnt matter which side you attach to the tool.

Find the supplied Bungee BiteBloc in your new Kit. The plastic tube goes in the mouth and the bungee goes UNDER the chin, which holds the BiteBloc in place, exposing the fighting teeth and leaving your hands free to position and operate the Fight O Matic. The BiteBloc is also handy when used in conjunction with the Tooth a Matic.

Our preferred method of holding the alpaca during operation of the Fight O Matic is to use the Paca Trapper, designed by Tooth a Matic®. It is a great new head restraint tool system and it requires NO barn floor space to store it in the barn!. It simply attaches to any barn post. Contact AlpacaRosa@aol.com for more information.

The Paca Trapper will allow you to perform ONE-person operation of the          Fight O Matic . No drugs are necessary . If no such restraint is used, it may require 2-3 people, someone to hold the head of the alpaca while the other person does the cutting.

The elongated hole in the Fight O Tip is designed for the saw teeth of the
Fight O tip to always be pulled toward the front of mouth (NOT SIDEWAYS). The

The tip’s elongated hole was designed as to NOT allow the cutter to go all       the way down to the gum line.

There is debate on the subject of whether or not a tooth should be cut all the way down to the gum line (some say it may increase chance of abcess, others say not). I can personally vouch for cutting one males fighting teeth down to the gums with NO abcess resulting.

We are recommending our DVM Michel Nicolletti's advice, "cut the fighting tooth about halfway down" . This will take away the dangerous part of the fighting tooth

Very thin blade .020"

The height of the hole in the Fight O Tip should prevent you from placing the cutter too far down the tooth , Pull the tool  toward the front of the mouth. However, If you place turn the tool 90 degrees and pull toward the side the mouth, you will be able to fit the entire tooth into the hole and cut down to the gum line, if you want. Once again, we recommend cutting the tooth approx halfway

The Fight O Tip has a protective  neoprene trim piece around the circumference of the tool. The tool cannot hurt the alpaca or you during operation. Infact, I can be seen on YouTube tickling my taste buds with the Fight O Matic, so dont be afraid to use this tool.

Place the tooth through the hole of the Fight O Tip and turn on the tool. Now just pull toward the front of the mouth. Watch for the tip of the tooth to fly off and grab before going on to the next tooth. Depending on how thick your tooth is, it will take between 1-5 seconds per tooth.

If you find the cutter stops cutting prematurely, (the cutter likely has NOT dulled, the cutter simply  needs tightened to its shaft, remove the black cap on top of housing and tighten the allen headed screw). We have found this to occur occasionally working loose with usage.)

My shearers have found the cutters to hold up for over 60-150 alpacas (or 360 -900 teeth)

The neoprene protective edging will not last that long, but I'm developing a more durable  protective edging as I write this.

When you’re done, clean the tool tip with a toothbrush and vegetable oil.

Fight O Matic Replacement Tips can be ordered by emailing your tool serial number ( located on inside lid of carrying case) to
